On May 17 famous player of duduk Gevorg Dabaghyan took part in a very famous festival called “Festival Mawazine”. The opening of the festival was entrusted to Gevorg.
The Mawazine Festival “Rhythms of the World” confirms its choice of introducing festivity in every quarter of the city of Rabat. A Grandiose Concert at Sankt Peterbourg
On May 7 Gevorg Dabaghyan together with Gourgen Dabaghyan will have a grandiose concert at Sankt Peterbourg. Concert Tours
From March 19 to April 6 Gevorg Dabaghyan together with Abu Khalil folk group will tour with concerts in Europe (Norway, France, Germany, Switzerland and Poland). In the program Rabi Abu Khalil “Song of Sad Woman”.

In November 2006 Gevorg Dabaghyan performed and recorded soundtracks for movie by "LA MASSERIA DELLE ALLODOLE" directed by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, composer Giuliano Taviani.
In December 2006 Dabaghayn completed recordings with Komitas string quartet of the new CD of "14 arrangements and transcriptions of the Armenian tunes by Komitas" of Vache Sharafyan; to be released in 2007 in NY.
? On January 23 Gevorg Dabaghayn will perform three compositions with Atlas Ensemble in Amsterdam Muzikgebouw (Vache Sharafyan "My Lofty Moon" for 14 eastern and western instrumnets (world premiere), Joel Bons "Tour a Tour" and Toivo Tulev "In You, Void of Yourself"(world premiere).
? On February 5 Gevorg Dabaghayn will premiere with Yuri Bashmet and "Moscow Soloists" the Concerto "Surgite Gloriae" for Viola, duduk, discant, baritone and orchestra of Vache Sharafyan in Moscow Conservatory Great Hall.

My New Video Shot
My new video ?Anurjner? (?Dreams?) has been shot recently. The director is Arthur Vardanyan. The author of music and arrangements is me. The premiere of the video has taken place recently on the music program Rubicon. As my admirers probably might know, after shooting the video, together with Shoghakn Ensemble, I made a concert tour of Germany. I am in Armenia now to release a new CD in accompaniment with Komitas String Quartet.

My Concert with Shoghakn Ensemble in Kholn
Together with the ?Shoghakn? chamber ensemble, I will tour to the German city of K?ln, from July 5 to 10. Winner of the Annual International Competition of US entitled "Jeannie SCMPC Angel Award", the ?Shoghakn? ensemble ?reveals? the masterpieces of Armenian spiritual medieval music to the world. Thanks to their performances, today the international audience appreciates our spiritual music.

Vache Sharafian?s ?The Fragrance of Acacias? and Armenian duduk
I had a joint concert with ?Caucasus? chamber orchestra on June 3 in the big hall of Tbilisi Conservatory during which Vache Sharafian?s ?The Fragrance of Acacias? written for duduk, chamber and stringed orchestra was performed.
My upcoming concert with Shoghakn chorus is planned on June 24-30 in St. Petersburg.
My next concert with Shoghakn chorus will take place on July 5-10 in the city of Koln, Germany. I am also happy to inform my amateurs that the premiere of my new video will be held in the near future.

THE DUDUK ? MASTERPIECE OF SPIRITUAL VALUES
Recently, in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) the duduk has been acknowledged as the masterpiece of not material, spiritual values as an Armenian instrument. I was the director of the program from Armenia.
In Amsterdam, the capital of Netherlands, duduk class is opened; I am the organizer and responsibile person. On February 3-4 the opening ceremony will be held and I will come up with a solo concert. I invite all my admirers from Holland to enjoy Armenian duduk.

Armenian Chamber Choir will come up with a concert in Komitas Chamber Music Hall on June 11, 2005, at 7:00 PM. Soloist of the concert is duduk player Gevorg Dabaghyan. Choir Director & Principal Conductor is Robert Melkeian. Concert program includes D. Haladjian ?Megha?, ?Deportation of Humanity?, and A. Schnittke ?Concerto for mixed chorus?. LECTURES FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS
Currently I am delivering lectures on duduk for foreign students in Yerevan. Many students have arrived from different countries of the world to pass duduk classes. I have a student (Raza) from Iran, a student from Australia, Sydney, named Michael and one more student is expected to arrive about 20 days later from Holland (Rafaella). Duduk, Armenian national instrument, has become worldwide and it is involved in many foreign films and videos.

ARMENIAN DUDUK IN GERMANY
The duduk reflects the passion, celebration, and suffering of Armenia. Aram Khatchatourian once said that the duduk is the only instrument that made him cry. The sound of the duduk is warm, soft, and has a slightly nasal timbre. From April 17-27 great concerts are organized in Germany, Kholn, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Armenian Genocide. On April 22, 24 I will take part in that event and will have two concerts together with German choir in Kholn. It?s a great and exclusive chance for the German audience to enjoy Armenian duduk.

CONCERT TOURS IN THE USA
Within the period of March 29 - April 5 I will have residency and tour rehearsals in the USA, at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence Rhode Island, for the upcoming concerts. I will have concert tours in the USA within the period of April 6- April 13. Here is the list of Silk Road Ensemble Residency and tour dates. On April 6, I will perform Armenian duduk in Symphony Hall, Boston, MA, at 8:00 PM. On April 8, I will have a concert in Orchestra Hall, Chicago, IL, at 8:00 PM. On April 10, Armenian duduk will be sounded in Stern Auditorium Carnegie Hall, New York, NY at 2:00 PM Family Concert and at 8:00 PM evening concert. On April 11, a great concert in John F. Kennedy Center, Washington DC, at 8:00 PM. On April 12, melodies of duduk in Kimmel center, Philadelphia, PA at 8:00 PM. And finally the last concert on April 13 in the USA - possible promotional event in New York City TBC.

ARMENIAN DUDUK IN FINLAND
Currently, from March 13-16, in Finland great concerts under the slogan ?Days of Armenian Soul Song? are going on. On March 14, I will have a solo concert in Finland for the Diaspora. Armenian duduk will be sounded for the Finnish audience. The nice and exciting and even melting melodies of Armenian duduk have attracted the attention of many foreign people. This Armenian national instrument has gained a great success all over the world. I represented Armenian duduk in many countries of the world and this time I will perform my art in Finland.

I WILL HAVE CONCERTS IN CANADA
Dear friends and admirers!
From February 25-28 I will have a concert tour in Canada, Montreal. Together with the ensemble ?Shoghakn? I will represent the Armenian duduk in the Diaspora. The duduk is an Armenian wind instrument with sound qualities similar to the clarinet. The Armenian duduk which will be sounded in Montreal is one of the oldest double reed instruments in the world. It can produce a wide range of melodies, including rhythmic dance tunes. The duduk has truly become a part of everyday life in Armenia. It is also widely spread all over the world and is sounded in many foreign films.

I HAVE CONCERTS IN EMIRATES
From December 15-25, Gevorg Dabaghyan, together with the group ?Shoghakn? is going to leave for the United Arabian Emirates. He is to have concerts, solo recitals in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arabian Emirates; Dubai and Sharm El Sheikh where a cultural event called ?Cultural Days of Armenia? is held. I will represent Armenian duduk to the Diaspora. Duduk will be sounded also for the Arabian audience.

Here is my next great success! My dear admirers take the information of the USA tour! I am to be recorded for 2 Japanese films. The records are arranged within the period of September 7-27 in the cities of New York and Boston (USA) together with the outstanding cellist Yo-Yo Ma by the program entitled ?Silk Road?. The Armenian duduk will be sounded in foreign films. What a great success! It?s perfect to enjoy the magnificent and pleasant melody of Armenian duduk in foreign films. Europe welcomes Armenian musician
Dear admires I?m back from Hungary with great impression. I was in Budapest by the invitation of State Radio of Hungary. On May 20 a concert was held at the Radio building of Hungary which devoted to Armenian and Hungarian cultures. I presented several Armenian folk, gusanakan (national), medieval melodies accompanied with piano, violin, violoncello, as well as the composition of Armenian composer Vahe Sharafyan titled ?Arev, Gini, Zhamanaki Kami? (Sun, Wine, Wind of the Time). Hungarian managers made an offer to establish Dabaghyan representative office to spread Armenian duduk music throughout Hungary in different ways ? with chamber, jazz, symphonic orchestras. In Holland within the period of June 6-28 ?Atlas? Dutch symphonic orchestra and me are to present a wonderful program. Also a single concert is to be held in Vatican on June 12. Last week of the US tour
Dear visitors take the information of our US tour. Beautiful music connoisseur with the Shoghaken ensemble we are having last two concerts in the USA. On May 4 American audience can attend the concert held at Cornell University, Ithaca. On Saturday - May 8 nice music will caress the ear of the listeners at Annenberg Center, Philadelphia. I'm still in the concert tour
Dear connoisseur of beautiful music - I keep presenting my art out. The concerts will last until early May.

Tomorrow is my birthday
February 12 is my birthday and as I am far from my moherland, recording a new CD collection together with the well-known Arab oud-player Rabih Abou-Khalil in Munich, Germany I?ll spend this unusual day with my friends in Germany, despite the fact that I miss my family and friends in Armenia very much. I?ll be back to Armenia on February 15.

I have returned from Vinlyus
I have recently returned from Vilnyus, Prebaltics and now I am shooting a new clip based on the song called Arevelyan Eskizner (Eastern Sketches). The producer of this interesting project is Hrach Qeshishyan. The clip version of the song will be ready in a month, which is going to differ in its quality and unique style from the other clips. The premiere of the clip will take place on national TV during the musical program "Rubikon +". Follow the news on my site and you will be thoroughly informed about the details and the day of premier. I also inform you about my scientific activities. I had got my Doctors Degree recently.

Victory in the nomination
As you know my dudouk is sounded in the film "Ararat" produced by Atom Egoyan, devoted to the events of Armenian genocide in 1915. Recently in Canada the music of the film has been recognized a winner in the appropriate nomination.

On May 7th, as part of the Silk Road Project with Yo-Yo Ma, I will represent Armenia at the majestic Carnegie Hall for the first time. I will perform the piece of V.Sharafyan: "The Sun,the Wine and the Wind of Time". Rehearsals are set from May 3rd through 6th. I am in musical mood and looking forward to the presentation. I feel more and more responsibility as time gets nearer, since this is a historical event for me. I anticipate a smashing performance.
